Her definitive breakthrough arrived in 1977 when she landed the role of KGB agent Major Anya Amasova in the James Bond feature The Spy Who Loved Me opposite Roger Moore. While working on the set of Caveman in 1980, Bach met Beatles drummer Ringo Starr. The couple married in London on April 27, 1981. She was previously married to Italian businessman Augusto Gregorini, with whom she has two children, including director Francesca Gregorini. After stepping away from acting in the mid-1980s, Bach dedicated much of her time to philanthropy. In 1991, she co-founded the Self Help Addiction Recovery Program with Olivia Harrison.
