Amanda Warren

Amanda Warren is an American actress who has earned recognition for her performances across television and film. She is widely recognized for playing Lucy Warburton in the HBO drama series The Leftovers, Betty in the Apple TV+ comedy Dickinson, and FBI agent Catherine Weaver in the Netflix spy thriller series The Night Agent.

Born on July 17, 1982, in New York City, Warren spent her early years in the city. She pursued formal creative training during her youth, studying vocal performance at the Professional Performing Arts School in New York.

Her acting career began in the late 2000s with minor appearances across various feature films and television shows. By 2010, she secured guest roles on several prominent network and cable series, including Rubicon, Gossip Girl, The Good Wife, and Law & Order.

Warren reached a significant career milestone in 2014 when she was cast as a main character, Lucy Warburton, in the HBO drama series The Leftovers. Alongside her television work, she built a steady film portfolio, appearing in features such as The Adjustment Bureau in 2011, Seven Psychopaths in 2012, and both All Is Bright and Deep Powder in 2013. Later film credits include roles in the high-profile 2017 releases Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and Mother!.

Over the following years, Warren continued to secure prominent roles on major television projects. She appeared as Mayor Zahra Taylor in the CBS procedural NCIS: New Orleans and took on the role of Camille De Haan, the mother of Monet De Haan, in the 2021 Gossip Girl reboot. In early 2020, she was cast as Jerlene Brooks, a progressive activist and former community organizer, in the CBS political drama pilot Ways & Means, though the network ultimately declined to pick up the series in May 2021.

In 2022, Warren landed the lead role of Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood in the CBS police drama East New York, portraying the newly appointed head of a neighborhood precinct in East Brooklyn. The show premiered during the 2022–2023 television season but was discontinued in May 2023 after a single season due to streaming rights negotiations between CBS and Warner Bros. Studios.
