Ysa Ferrer

Ysa Ferrer, born on June 4, 1972, in Oran, Algeria, is a French singer, actress, writer, and composer. She was born to an Egyptian father and a French mother. During her teenage years in France, she began working for a local radio station before relocating to Paris. Shortly after moving, she secured a leading role in a popular television series through auditions and also began acting in feature films.

Despite her early acting roles, Ferrer pursued her interest in music by working on demo tracks during her time off. In 1995, she signed a contract with Universal Music France and released her debut album, D'essences naturelles. Her second album, Kamikaze, followed in 1998 and featured her hit single Mes rêves.

Ferrer subsequently released several singles through various labels, including Mourir pour elles with EMI Records and Made in Japan with East-West France. She later recorded a dance version of Goran Bregovic's song Ederlezi, which became a top 20 hit in Sweden and achieved broad popularity across Eastern Europe, particularly in Germany and Russia.

In 2007, Ferrer established her own production company, Lovarium Production, to manage her projects independently. She released her third album, Imaginaire Pur, which generated several hit tracks, including Sens Interdit, Last Zoom, and On fait l'amour, the latter featuring a sample from Rondo Veneziano.

Known for her dance and electro music style referred to as Pop Kosmic, Ferrer has earned a reputation as the French Kylie Minogue. Her music gained significant popularity in France and Russia, particularly within the LGBTQ community, where she is regarded as an icon. In 2010, she released the Chew Fu-produced single French Kiss, which experienced immediate success in Russia.

In October 2010, Ferrer released her fourth studio album, Ultra Ferrer. The album's launch occurred just days prior to the premiere of her Paradoxal Show, which opened on October 16, 2010, at the Bobino venue in Paris.
