Torrie Wilson

Torrie Anne Wilson is an American retired professional wrestler, model, and fitness competitor. She is best known for her appearances in World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. Born on July 24, 1975, in Boise, Idaho, she gained wide public visibility through televised storylines, major magazine features, and various broadcast events, culminating in her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019.

Wilson was raised in Boise, Idaho, where she participated in school activities including cheerleading, dance, and track and field. During her sophomore year of high school, she began pursuing a modeling career. After receiving advice from an agency to lose weight, she suffered from anorexia and bulimia between the ages of 15 and 19. Upon recovering, she turned to fitness training, placing third in her first contest and later winning the Miss Galaxy competition. She also joined the Extreme Fitness Team and won first place in the Grace and Physique division at the 1998 Women's Tri-Fitness Championships.

In 1998, Wilson moved to Los Angeles to study acting and secured an agent. She entered professional wrestling in 1999 after attending a World Championship Wrestling show. Though initially hired for a short role, her growing popularity led to a full-time position. She made her television debut on Nitro in February 1999 under the name Samantha. During her tenure with the company, she performed as an on-screen manager and valet for several competitors, including David Flair, Billy Kidman, and Shane Douglas, before her release in December 2000.

Wilson made her debut on World Wrestling Federation television in June 2001 on SmackDown! as part of The Invasion storyline. Assigned to the Alliance, she frequently teamed with Stacy Keibler and competed against other female performers. After being drafted to the SmackDown! brand in March 2002, her character was featured in high-profile storylines involving Tajiri and an extended feud with Dawn Marie, which concluded with a match at the 2003 Royal Rumble.

In May 2003, Wilson appeared on the cover and in a pictorial for Playboy magazine, later sharing a second cover with Sable. Over her career, she also appeared on the cover of FHM. She earned a tag team victory at WrestleMania XX in 2004 alongside Sable. In August 2005, Wilson was traded to the Raw brand and aligned with Candice Michelle and Victoria to form the stable known as Vince's Devils. The group feuded with wrestlers including Ashley Massaro and Trish Stratus before disbanding in 2006.
