He is perhaps best known for his recurring role as Jake Fitzgerald in the MTV anthology slasher series Scream from 2015 to 2016. Over the course of his career, he has appeared in numerous recurring television roles, web series, and feature films.
Maden was born in Texas, United States, and raised in Los Angeles, California. He first came to prominence between 2004 and 2005 as a participant in the third season of the Discovery Kids reality competition series Endurance, titled Endurance 3: Hawaii, which was filmed on location on an island on Kauai's North Shore.
Maden made his television acting debut in 2006 in an episode of the family series 7th Heaven. His early film debut came in the 2008 drama Reversion alongside Leslie Silva and Jason Olive. That same year, he appeared in an episode of According to Jim and in the television movies Fall of Hyperion and The Nanny Express. In 2010, he appeared in the independent films Breaking the Press and Spilt Milk. He went on to secure recurring television roles, portraying Zach Bell in the third season of Parenthood in 2011 and playing Rigo in the third and final season of Make It or Break It in 2012. He also appeared in an episode of The Mentalist and starred in the 2012 comedy film General Education.
Between 2013 and 2015, Maden took on various projects, including the television movie Untitled Bounty Hunter Project, the short film The Lonely Waiter, an episode of the web series Caper, the film Mission Air, and an episode of Switched at Birth. In late 2014, he landed the recurring role of Jake Fitzgerald in MTV's Scream. Although his character was killed off in the second season premiere, Maden continued to appear in cameos and plotlines throughout the season. He also appeared as Jake in the web series If I Die and as himself in the aftershow Scream After Dark.
Following his work on Scream, Maden starred in the television movies A Housekeeper's Revenge and Swim at Your Own Risk in 2016. In 2017, he played Robert Wells in two episodes of 13 Reasons Why, held a main role as Tom in the YouTube Red series Lifeline, and appeared as Adam across both seasons of Famous in Love. He subsequently starred as Nino Clemente in the 2018 Hulu series All Night.
Maden's additional credits include the 2018 television movies Tomboy and 25, as well as the Vancouver-based horror-thriller film The Ninth Passenger. In 2019, he co-starred in the Hallmark romantic comedy Love in the Sun, which was filmed in Florida. In 2020, he starred in the YouTube science-fiction short film Sky Fighter.
