Tana Mongeau

Tana Marie Mongeau is an American digital content creator and podcaster who initially gained online prominence as a teenager. She built a massive audience on YouTube through her unscripted storytime vlogs, eventually accumulating more than one billion total views across her channels. Over time, she expanded her career into mainstream entertainment, music, business ventures, and multi-platform podcasting.

Born on June 24, 1998, in Henderson, Nevada, Mongeau was raised by her parents, Rick and Rebecca Mongeau. She attended Green Valley High School before leaving during her sophomore year. Mongeau has publicly described a challenging childhood marked by a lack of parental guidance, leading her to feel as though she was raising her parents. She later disconnected from her biological family and was adopted by the family of her best friend at age thirteen.

Mongeau's early internet success stemmed from her candid personal anecdotes on YouTube. She frequently collaborated with notable digital figures, including Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star, Bella Thorne, David Dobrik, and James Charles, drawing tens of millions of views. Her digital visibility led to mainstream projects, such as starring in the summer 2019 reality television series MTV No Filter: Tana Turns 21. She also launched her own business venture, Dizzy Wine, in early 2022.

In July 2021, Mongeau launched the pop-culture podcast Cancelled, which she co-hosted alongside Brooke Schofield until its conclusion in 2025 after 130 episodes. She has hosted additional talk programs, including Brand Safe and Not Loveline with Tana and Trish alongside co-host Trisha Paytas. Her podcast presence also includes guest appearances on programs such as Call Her Daddy and Therapuss with Jake Shane.

Parallel to her vlogging and hosting, Mongeau pursued a music career starting in late 2017. She debuted with the single Hefner, featuring Bella Thorne in its music video, and quickly followed with a collaborative track titled Deadahh. Between 2018 and 2020, she released several additional solo singles, including W, Fuck Up, FaceTime, and Without You.

Throughout her career, Mongeau has been involved in high-profile events and public discussions. In mid-2018, she organized TanaCon in Anaheim, California, as an alternative gathering after being omitted as a featured creator at VidCon. The event suffered severe logistical issues and was shut down on its opening day, though VidCon later named her a featured creator in 2019. She has also addressed various public controversies, including online conflicts and past statements made by herself and her platform partners.

Mongeau is openly bisexual and maintains a sober lifestyle. Her public personal life includes highly publicized relationships with figures like Somer Hollingsworth, Bella Thorne, and Mod Sun, as well as an unlicensed 2019 Las Vegas wedding ceremony with social media personality Jake Paul that ended in early 2020. Since 2023, she has been in a relationship with Makoa Da Silva.
