Jeffree Star

Jeffrey Lynn Steininger Jr., known professionally as Jeffree Star, is an American internet personality, beauty entrepreneur, makeup artist, and former singer-songwriter. Born on November 15, 1985, in Los Angeles County, California, Star initially gained widespread prominence during the 2000s on Myspace, leveraging the platform to promote his music and distinctive personal style. He later transitioned into a major digital creator on YouTube, becoming one of the most prominent beauty vloggers and cosmetics moguls in the influencer industry.

Early Career and Music

Star began experimenting with makeup during his teenage years and worked as a freelance makeup artist in Los Angeles while building his online brand. In the mid-2000s, he emerged as one of the most followed figures on Myspace, utilizing his online fanbase to launch a pop music career. Star released his debut studio album, Beauty Killer, in 2009 under his independent label, featuring tracks such as 'Lollipop Luxury.' He toured internationally and briefly signed with Akon's record label Konlive before stepping away from music around 2013 to focus on business ventures. In 2024, Star returned to music with a re-release of his debut album featuring newly recorded tracks.

YouTube and Beauty Empire

In November 2014, Star founded his direct-to-consumer cosmetics brand, Jeffree Star Cosmetics. To promote the company, he published high-production makeup tutorials, product reviews, and personal vlogs on YouTube, rapidly building a global audience exceeding 15 million subscribers. Known for his direct style, vibrant aesthetics, and popular cosmetics collections, Star's company became one of the most commercially successful influencer-led makeup lines of the decade. Over the years, he expanded his brand offerings to include skincare, apparel, and beauty accessories.

Wyoming Ranch and Personal Life

In 2020, Star announced plans to transition away from California, eventually selling his Los Angeles property and relocating to Casper, Wyoming. He established the Star Yak Ranch, where he raises yaks across hundreds of acres. In July 2023, he opened a retail storefront in downtown Casper, offering both cosmetics and local agricultural goods. On a personal note, Star was previously in a five-year relationship with Nathan Schwandt before their high-profile split in 2020. Today, he continues to manage his business enterprises from Wyoming while maintaining an active digital media presence.
