Tamie Sheffield

Tamie Michelle Sheffield, born July 27, 1970, is an American film actress, model, and former professional wrestler.

Sheffield was born in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Mechanicsburg Senior High School in 1988. She attended West Chester University, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Elementary Education. During her academic years, she was a cheerleader from junior high through college, participated in the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, and conducted campus tours.

Sheffield entered professional wrestling with the California-based promotion Women of Wrestling (WOW). Performing under the ring name Sandy, she portrayed a lifeguard gimmick alongside her tag team partner, Summer. Together, the duo competed as The Beach Patrol.

Her acting career began in 1999 with an appearance in the film Wildflower. She subsequently appeared in several other film and television projects, including Slammed, Cheerleader Massacre, The Deviants, and Black Tie Nights. Additionally, Sheffield served as a host for two Lingerie Bowl events.

In 2003, Sheffield competed as a contestant on the third season of the NBC reality series Fear Factor. She won her initial episode to advance further in the competition, but she was later unsuccessful during her appearance in the season's semi-final round.

Sheffield competed for WOW across its initial run before stepping away from the ring in 2007. Alongside wrestling she worked as a model and took on hosting duties for two editions of the Lingerie Bowl, the pay-per-view event staged opposite the Super Bowl halftime show. With a background in cheerleading from junior high through college, she was at home in front of a crowd, and in the early 2000s she became a familiar face across a mix of professional wrestling, competitive reality television and independent film — three corners of American pop culture all drawing big cable audiences at the time. Her screen appearances, concentrated in action and genre productions, continued in parallel with that live-performance work.
