Stephanie Soo

Stephanie Soo, born Yoon Soojin on November 27, 1994, is an American online content creator and podcast host. She is best known for hosting the true crime audio and video program Rotten Mango, where she presents detailed true crime narrations to a broad online audience.

Soo began her digital career in 2017 by uploading videos to YouTube. Her early content frequently combined the format of mukbangs—eating large quantities of food on camera—with storytelling centered on true crime cases.

In December 2019, Soo was involved in a public dispute with fellow internet personality Nicholas Perry, known online as Nikocado Avocado. Soo accused Perry of harassment, alleging that he sent her unwanted text messages and took photographs inside her private residence without permission. Perry publicly denied her accusations, asserting that Soo was aware of the photographs. Perry later stated that the entire incident had been arranged to generate media attention.

Soo expanded her digital footprint in 2020 by launching the Rotten Mango podcast and dedicated YouTube channel, which she developed alongside her husband. The show built upon her established format of delivering true crime narratives.

Following the program's growth, Netflix announced in 2026 that The Rotten Files would be incorporated into its official slate of podcast offerings. Soo continues to operate her digital channels and produce podcast content.
