Shakti Mohan

Shakti Mohan is an Indian dancer, choreographer, and television personality. She gained widespread public recognition after winning the second season of the dance reality television series Dance India Dance on Zee TV. Since the show's launch, she has also served as a judge and captain on the Indian dance competition reality series Dance Plus.

Mohan is part of a creative family, being the younger sister of singer Neeti Mohan and the elder sister of dancer and actress Mukti Mohan. Following her breakthrough television victory, she released dance-themed calendars for the years 2012 and 2013. Around the same time, she secured her first major acting role as the lead character in the dance-centered fictional teen television series Dil Dosti Dance, which began airing in 2011.

Throughout her career, Mohan has engaged in various international and digital dance initiatives. In 2012, she worked alongside composer Mohammed Fairouz on a dance project sponsored by the BBC in New York City. She expanded her online presence in 2013 by launching a YouTube channel focused on instructional dance videos. She returned to reality television as a contestant in 2014, reaching the finals on the competition show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Her television judging career expanded beyond Dance Plus, where she served as a mentor and judge for its first four seasons, to include judging duties on the reality series Dance Singapore Dance. In addition to broadcast television, Mohan established her own dance production brand named NrityaShakti. Through this venture, she produced two seasons of the YouTube web series Break A Leg. She also collaborated directly with her sisters to produce a dance music video.

As a Bollywood choreographer, Mohan made her feature film debut with the song "Nainowale Ne" for the movie Padmaavat. In 2020, she was selected to choreograph a dance sequence featuring Ranbir Kapoor for the Karan Malhotra-directed film Shamshera, which was later released in July 2022. She has also expanded into commercial modeling, appearing in a campaign for L'Oréal Paris in 2020.

Over the years, Mohan has featured in numerous music videos. Her screen appearances include Kamli in 2013, Akh Lad Jaave Nritya Jam and Kanha Re in 2018, Aakhri Baar and The Chamiya Song in 2019, and Saaton Janam in 2020.
