Sara Jean Underwood

Sara Jean Underwood is an American model, television host, and actress. Born on March 26, 1984, she is widely recognized for her work with Playboy magazine, having been named Playmate of the Month for July 2006 and Playmate of the Year in 2007. She is also known for her work as a television presenter, including co-hosting Attack of the Show! on the G4 network.

Underwood was born in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Scappoose High School in Scappoose, Oregon, in 2002, where she was a schoolmate of American football player Derek Anderson. She later attended Oregon State University and Portland State University. Early in her career, she worked assisting in sales of heavy construction equipment and was employed at a Hooters restaurant location in Beaverton, Oregon.

Her modeling career with Playboy began in October 2005 when she appeared on the cover of the magazine's "Girls of the Pac-10" pictorial. She was featured as the Playmate of the Month in July 2006 and was subsequently named Playmate of the Year in June 2007, receiving a Mini Cooper convertible as part of her prize. She was the first Miss July to win the title. In March 2008, Playboy listed her at number 25 on its "25 Hottest Playboy Celebrities" list. Her modeling work also led to appearances on the E! network series The Girls Next Door. Additionally, Underwood is credited with discovering 2009 Playmate of the Year Ida Ljungqvist while shopping in Beverly Hills, California.

In June 2007, a group of women's studies students at Oregon State University put up a poster outside Bexel Hall celebrating her selection as Playmate of the Year, using the style of the campus "Achievement" posters. The poster remained displayed for a few hours before university staff removed it.

Underwood expanded her career into film and television acting and broadcasting. Her feature film appearances include roles in Epic Movie (2007), The House Bunny (2008), Miss March (2009), The Telling (2009), and a lead role in the 2013 horror thriller film Deadly Weekend, also known as Zellwood. On television, she worked as a continuity announcer for Blackbelt TV, co-hosted episodes of Attack of the Show! on G4 starting in 2009, and served as a regular presenter and substitute host for The Feed in 2011. She also appeared as a guest star on MTV's Ridiculousness in 2012, as well as on Kendra and The Howard Stern Show.

In addition to entertainment, Underwood has engaged in competitive athletics, poker, and music video appearances. An avid practitioner of yoga, she competed in Japan's eighth Kunoichi competition, known in the U.S. as Women of Ninja Warrior, winning her first stage heat before failing on the second stage. After appearing in advertising for VictoryPoker.net and competing in charity tournaments, she joined their team of professional poker players. She has also appeared in music videos, including Pop Evil's "100 In A 55" in 2009 and Kip Moore's "Backseat" in 2015.
