Rio Teramoto

Rio Teramoto is a Japanese gravure model and actress. Born on November 5, 2001, in Hiroshima City within the Hiroshima Prefecture, she grew up alongside two older brothers. She developed an interest in the arts at an early age, taking up dance at three years old and piano at five. Her initial exposure to childhood modeling inspired her to pursue a permanent career in the entertainment industry.

Following her participation in the Dream Girl Audition in 2015, Teramoto secured representation with the talent agency LesPros Entertainment. Early in her career, she assisted in promotional efforts for other artists at the 2016 Tokyo Idol Festival. By 2017, she had expanded her focus to stage acting, which included participating in a theatrical production of Fiddler on the Roof.

Teramoto gained wider public recognition in 2018 through her participation in the revived Miss Magazine competition, where she finished as runner-up and earned the title of Miss Young Magazine. Alongside nine other finalists, she joined the newly established Miss Magazine Theater Company, participating in a theatrical adaptation of the manga series Are You Lost?, a project for which she shortened her hair.

During her secondary education, Teramoto attended AICJ Junior High School and High School in Hiroshima. Prior to transferring to a school in Tokyo to focus on her professional endeavors, she featured in a 2019 episode of the television show Koi toka Ai toka that was shot on her school's campus. Later that year, a private swimwear image shared to her social media account gained widespread online visibility domestically and internationally. This surge in popularity led to her initial appearance in Weekly Playboy magazine.

In March 2020, coinciding with her high school graduation, Teramoto published her debut self-produced photobook titled Curiosity. Shot on location in Los Angeles during her first trip to the United States, the publication topped the sales charts for female talent photobooks by the end of its release month and underwent four print runs by July 2020. She enrolled in college in April 2020, though online studies were required initially due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beyond her media work, Teramoto is an avid baseball supporter who follows the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, naming Ryosuke Kikuchi as her favorite player. After her contract with LesPros Entertainment ended on July 1, 2025, she expressed a desire to return to gravure modeling in a September interview. In October of that year, she signed with the agency Meteora, subsequently announcing plans in early 2026 for a second gravure photobook to mark five years since her first release.
