Riki LeCotey

Riki LeCotey, who frequently uses the online handle Riddle, is a Canadian costume designer, cosplayer, and model currently living in the United States. She is widely recognized for her long-standing presence and influence within the global cosplay community.

LeCotey began participating in cosplay more than ten years ago. Over the course of her career, she has traveled extensively to serve as an invited guest and competition judge at fan conventions across North America and internationally, visiting countries such as Chile, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.

Her visibility increased significantly through television and film appearances. Between 2013 and 2014, she appeared as a primary cast member across both seasons of the Syfy reality television series Heroes of Cosplay. Additionally, her work within the subculture was highlighted in the 2012 documentary Cosplay: Crafting a Secret Identity, produced by PBA.

In addition to her fan convention appearances and television roles, LeCotey has worked professionally within the film industry. She has served as a specialty costumer for major feature films, including contributions to X-Men: First Class and Captain America: Civil War.

LeCotey is also the founder of Cosplay for a Cause, an organization established to support charitable efforts through the cosplay community. The initiative's debut fundraiser successfully generated more than $30,000 for the Japanese Red Cross Society to assist relief efforts following the 2011 tsunami.
