Rianne van Rompaey

Rianne Frida Loes Van Rompaey is a Dutch fashion model who has been labeled as a top model by Vogue. She has appeared on the cover of Vogue Paris more than six times and is currently ranked as an Industry Icon by models.com.

Van Rompaey was born on January 3, 1996, in Hoofddorp, North Holland, and was raised in Wageningen, Gelderland, by her Dutch and Belgian parents. She attended a Montessori school and earned a VWO diploma at Pantarijn College. Her career began when she submitted photographs to Paparazzi Models, leading her to start modeling professionally while still a high school student.

Her initial photoshoot appeared in the January and February 2013 issues of Elle Netherlands. In 2014, designer Nicolas Ghesquiere selected Van Rompaey to serve as a Louis Vuitton exclusive. This role led to her participating in campaigns for the brand, including the Spring/Summer 2016 campaign alongside actor Jaden Smith.

Over the course of her career, Van Rompaey has done campaigns for numerous major fashion houses. These brands include Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Miu Miu, Chloé, Moschino, Celine, Ports 1961, Michael Kors, Fendi, Alberta Ferretti, Loewe, Sacai, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Marc Jacobs, Isabel Marant, Prada, Coach, Bottega Veneta, Hugo Boss, and Burberry. She has also walked in runway shows for brands such as Versace, Victoria Beckham, and Fendi after being placed by casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro.

In addition to her work with Vogue Paris, Van Rompaey has appeared on the covers of various other publications, including Vogue Italia, Vogue China, Vogue Germany, Vogue Japan, Vogue Korea, Vogue Russia, Vogue Netherlands, Harper's Bazaar, and The New York Times Style Magazine. For the 1000th issue of Vogue Paris in September 2019, she simultaneously featured on four distinct covers, following her earlier appearances on the magazine's March and May covers that same year. That same month, she also appeared on three covers for WSJ Magazine.

Van Rompaey has received widespread industry recognition. In 2016, Models.com listed her among its Top 50 models and named her one of the year's biggest breakout stars, while ELLE UK and Harper's Bazaar UK predicted her trajectory toward becoming a supermodel. In December 2019, she was chosen as the runner-up for models.com's Model of the Year awards.

Beyond modeling, Van Rompaey made her acting debut in 2024, starring in Faces, a short film directed by Canadian filmmaker David Findlay. In February 2025, she publicly announced that she was taking a break from modeling.
