Pauly D

Paul Michael DelVecchio Jr., known professionally as Pauly D and DJ Pauly D, is an American television personality and disc jockey born on July 5, 1980. He is best known as a cast member on the MTV reality show Jersey Shore. Following his debut on the series, he expanded his career into music production, live DJing, and numerous reality television spin-offs.

DelVecchio was born in Providence, Rhode Island, to Donna DiCarlo and Paul D. DelVecchio Sr. He grew up with one sister, Vanessa, and is of Italian descent. He began his career as a local disc jockey under the name Pauly D, citing DJ AM as one of his primary professional influences.

In 2009, DelVecchio was cast on Jersey Shore after casting directors contacted him via Myspace based on his personal style. A production crew was sent to Rhode Island to film a day in his life, capturing footage at the gym, tanning salon, and local clubs. Six months later, he was chosen for the show without a traditional audition. His appearance gained widespread popularity and earned him the 2011 Teen Choice Award for Choice Reality Star: Male. In June 2012, he was also a contestant on the Fox dating series The Choice.

DelVecchio became the first Jersey Shore cast member to receive a solo spin-off series, titled The Pauly D Project. Originally named DelVecchio, the show premiered on MTV on March 29, 2012, and focused on his national music tour. In 2018, he rejoined the original cast for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in Miami. His other television appearances include E!'s Famously Single in 2016, Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars 11 in 2018 alongside Aubrey O'Day, Game of Clones in 2019, and the MTV series Double Shot at Love and Revenge Prank with co-star Vinny Guadagnino. In 2022, he narrated the Paramount+ reality competition series All Star Shore.

Alongside his television projects, DelVecchio built a professional music career. He released his debut single, "Beat Dat Beat (It's Time To)," in 2010 and received nominations for America's Best DJ in 2010 and 2011. In August 2011, he confirmed a three-album deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Records and G-Note Records, which also encompassed a line of headphones. Later that year, he opened for Britney Spears on select North American dates of her Femme Fatale Tour. His subsequent music releases include the 2012 single "Back to Love" featuring Jay Sean, "Did You Know" featuring Tdot illdude in 2016, and "Silver & Gold" featuring James Kaye in April 2019. He also served as the social media ambassador for WWE's SummerSlam in August 2012.

In October 2013, DelVecchio announced that he had fathered a daughter, Amabella Sophia, born in New Jersey.
