Sammi Sweetheart

Samantha Rae Giancola, professionally known as Sammi Sweetheart, is an American television personality. She is best known for starring in the MTV reality television series Jersey Shore from 2009 to 2012, as well as making later appearances within the franchise.

Giancola was born on March 14, 1987, and raised in Hazlet, New Jersey. She is of Italian and Greek descent. In her youth, she won art contests and attended Raritan High School from 2001 to 2005, where she competed in track, softball, and varsity soccer as a four-year letter winner. She went on to attend William Paterson University, majoring in sociology and playing as a midfielder on the school's Division III women's soccer team.

Giancola made her television debut in August 2009 on Jersey Shore under the nickname Sammi "Sweetheart," a name given to her in her hometown. She remained a main cast member through the show's sixth and final season in 2012. In promotional material for the show, she famously stated, "I'm the sweetest bitch you'll ever meet." Alongside her castmates, she appeared on programs including Silent Library, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Wendy Williams Show, and Live with Regis and Kelly. She also appeared in the 2012 film The Three Stooges, featured on episodes of Snooki & Jwoww, and joined the 2017 E! special Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore.

When MTV announced the reboot Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in 2018, Giancola declined to return, citing a desire to avoid potentially toxic situations and focus on her businesses and relationship. In March 2023, it was announced she would join the show's sixth season, and she remained on the series until its eighth and final season.

Giancola has also engaged in various business ventures. In 2011, she became the face of the fragrance Dangerous for men and women, later endorsing Dangerous Desires. She launched the fitness clothing line Sexy Sweetheart with Hoboken-based SXE Fitness in 2012, followed by her online line Sweetheart Styles in 2013. From August 2015 to November 2017, she co-hosted the Just Sayin podcast with Siggy Flicker and Clare Galterio. In May 2021, she opened a boutique named Sweetheart Coast on the boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey. She announced a second boutique location at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City in April 2025, which opened in July 2025.

In her personal life, Giancola was in an on-and-off relationship with co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from 2009 until 2014. In 2017, she began dating Christian Biscardi, getting engaged in March 2019 before separating in July 2021 after their 2020 wedding plans were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. On August 1, 2021, she began dating bartender Justin May, and the couple got engaged in March 2024. Following years of infertility and a miscarriage in 2024, they announced they were expecting in February 2025. Giancola gave birth to their son, Vincent Keith, on August 20, 2025, and the couple married on December 4, 2025.
