Meg Turney

Megan LeeAnn Turney is an American cosplayer, YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and model born on March 12, 1987. She first gained wide recognition as an internet personality through her hosting work on the YouTube channels SourceFed and Rooster Teeth's The Know, as well as her cosplaying and online streaming activities.

Turney was introduced to cosplaying and anime conventions in 2002 at Ushicon 1, where her first cosplay was Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon from Sailor Moon. Over time, her work in cosplay grew into a full-time career. Notable cosplays of hers that received media attention include Faye Valentine, Princess Leia, and Psycho. Her visibility in the cosplay community led to an appearance on the Syfy series Heroes of Cosplay, a commercial for Guild Wars 2, hosting a cosplay contest at SXSW in 2013, and appearing as a special guest at Fan Expo Vancouver in 2016.

Turney's online hosting career broke through in July 2012 when she debuted as a co-host on SourceFed. While with SourceFed, she also contributed as a writer for its website, hosted related coverage such as YouTube's Election Hub, and appeared on Nerdist News and AMA's On Demand. She left SourceFed in April 2014 and joined Rooster Teeth's news channel, The Know, hosting her first episode in June 2014. During her time with Rooster Teeth, she co-hosted The Know It All: Leaderboard, hosted the weekly gaming podcast The Patch, and voiced the character Neon Katt in the animated series RWBY. She announced her departure from Rooster Teeth in June 2016.

In addition to her hosting roles, Turney began streaming on Twitch in June 2016 and maintains a personal YouTube channel where she uploads vlogs, gaming streams, and highlights. In April 2019, she signed with the talent agency Abrams Artists, later moving to TalentX Gaming in June 2020. She has participated in gaming events such as a Twitch Rivals Dead by Daylight tournament in October 2020.

As a model, Turney has worked on glamour, cosplay, and boudoir shoots, releasing a book of topless photos on her website and using Patreon and OnlyFans to share her content. Her modeling has also led to a featured photoshoot in Playboy in June 2015.

Turney has received public recognition throughout her career. In February 2013, she and her SourceFed co-hosts won an Audience Choice Streamy Award for Series of the Year. In 2015, Playboy listed her at number 10 on its "25 Hottest YouTube Stars" list, and FHM ranked her at number 20 on its "100 Sexiest Women in the World" list.

Turney is open about her bisexuality and has spoken on the topic in interviews and at convention panels, such as VidCon 2013's "Being LGBT on YouTube" panel. She has been in a relationship with Gavin Free since 2013, and in September 2024, she announced that they had married.
