Lauren Bullen

Lauren Bullen is an Australian travel, fashion, and lifestyle influencer who gained international prominence under her digital brand Gypsea Lust. Born on April 2, 1993, in Lennox Head, New South Wales, Australia, Bullen emerged as one of the pioneer creators in the travel blogging space during the mid-2010s. Characterized by warm tones, picturesque landscapes, and sun-soaked wanderlust, her visual storytelling has attracted millions of followers on social media platforms, cementing her position as a prominent figure in global digital media and lifestyle content.

Early Life and Career Origins

Growing up in the coastal town of Lennox Head alongside her identical twin sister Ellie Bullen, Lauren developed a strong interest in photography and outdoor exploration from an early age. Prior to pursuing content creation as a full-time profession, she worked as a qualified dental assistant in Australia. In 2013, Bullen began sharing her personal travel photos on Instagram under the moniker gypsea_lust. As her photography skills and aesthetic direction refined, her online audience grew rapidly. A turning point occurred when she secured sponsorship from travel agencies and tourism boards, enabling her to transition into full-time content creation in 2015.

Global Recognition and Travel Content

Bullen gained massive widespread media attention for her detailed travel imagery from destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Her collaborative work with major tourist boards and global hospitality brands—such as Tourism Fiji, Airbnb, and Disney—helped redefine modern travel marketing. During her career, Bullen became widely recognized for pioneering aesthetic photo presets that allowed followers to replicate her signature editing styles. She also co-founded Tone Studio, a dedicated photo and video editing application designed for content creators, expanding her influence into commercial software development.

Personal Life and Digital Presence

In 2016, while on a tourism assignment in Fiji, Bullen met British travel creator Jack Morris. The couple frequently collaborated on high-profile global campaigns and lived together in Bali, Indonesia, where they documented the construction of a custom residential villa. The pair publicly announced their separation in 2021. Today, Bullen resides in Australia and continues to produce lifestyle, fashion, and travel content for an audience of nearly two million followers on Instagram. Her twin sister Ellie is also a successful lifestyle creator and cookbook author known as Elsa's Wholesome Life.
