Komal Pandey

Komal Pandey is an Indian fashion influencer, video creator, and model known for her experimental styling, bridal lookbooks, and high-production editorial social media content. Emerging as one of India’s most influential digital tastemakers, she gained prominence through accessible styling tips before transitioning to conceptual fashion storytelling. Her work spans social media campaigns, brand collaborations, and multimedia fashion content produced for millions of followers.

Early Life and Education

Born on June 18, 1994, in New Delhi, India, Pandey developed an interest in fashion during her youth, experimenting with thrifted clothing and local flea market finds. She attended local schools in Delhi before pursuing higher education at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, a constituent college of the University of Delhi, where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. While completing her undergraduate studies, she launched her personal fashion blog, "The College Couture," in 2015. The blog showcased daily lookbooks, budget styling advice, and accessible fashion ideas, quickly earning her a dedicated audience among college students across India.

Career and Content Creation

Pandey's blogging success led to a role with the digital media company POPxo in late 2015, where she worked as a fashion video coordinator and video personality. Her engaging videos and comedic fashion segments helped establish her presence in the Indian digital media space. After leaving POPxo, she briefly contributed to Harper's Bazaar Bride as a stylist before transitioning to independent full-time content creation. She launched her own YouTube channel and expanded her footprint on Instagram, pivoting toward conceptual fashion reels, vintage re-styling, and high-fashion aesthetics. Over her career, she has collaborated with major international and Indian brands, including Swarovski, Olay, Lakme, and Nivea, and earned accolades such as the Cosmopolitan India Best Fashion Blog Award.

Style and Personal Life

Pandey is recognized for pioneering creative, short-form fashion videography in India. Her content frequently challenges conventional fashion norms by layering traditional Indian ethnic wear with contemporary Western garments, showcasing gender-fluid styling ideas, and highlighting transformative makeup and jewelry looks. Beyond digital media, she has made public appearances on popular digital talk shows and fashion roundtables. In her personal life, Pandey lives in New Delhi and is in a relationship with fellow fashion content creator Siddharth Batra, with whom she frequently collaborates on joint styling projects.
