Irina Shayk (born 1986-01-06 in Yemanzhelinsk, Russia) is a Russian supermodel who became the first Russian model to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2011. Known for her striking features and global campaign work, Irina Shayk has built one of the most successful careers in contemporary fashion modelling.

Career & Work

Irina Shayk first gained wide recognition as the face of the lingerie brand Intimissimi from 2007 to 2010, before her landmark Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover in 2011 made her a household name. She has since worked with Victoria's Secret, Guess, Lacoste and Armani Exchange, and has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar. In 2015 Irina Shayk became an international spokesperson for L'Oreal Paris, and she made her acting debut as Megara in the 2014 film Hercules. She has also been included on Models.com's "New Supers" list, reflecting her standing among the leading models of her generation, and she carried the placard for the Russian team at the 2014 Winter Olympics opening ceremony.
