Katherine Webb

Katherine Elizabeth Webb-McCarron, born April 24, 1989, is an American model, beauty queen, and television personality best known for winning Miss Alabama USA 2012 and receiving widespread national media attention during a 2013 college football broadcast.

Webb was born in Montgomery, Alabama, to parents Alan and Leslie Webb. She grew up in Phenix City, Alabama, and Columbus, Georgia. Her pageant career began in 2007 when she competed as a semi-finalist in the Miss Georgia USA 2008 pageant. She went on to win the title of Miss Alabama USA in 2012 and later represented her state at the Miss USA 2012 competition, where she advanced to the Top 10.

In January 2013, Webb gained national fame while attending the BCS National Championship Game as the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A. J. McCarron. During the live broadcast, announcer Brent Musburger commented extensively on her appearance, calling her a "lovely lady" and "beautiful." The segment led to widespread media coverage, online trending searches, and a dramatic increase in her social media presence, with her Twitter following jumping overnight from around 2,000 to more than 175,000. Although ESPN issued an official apology regarding the commentary, Webb stated in interviews that she was not offended by the remarks.

Following her rise in public prominence, Donald Trump, then owner of the Miss USA pageant, offered Webb a position as a judge for the contest, and she served as a correspondent for Inside Edition covering Super Bowl XLVII. She was cast as a contestant on the reality television show Splash, where she achieved a tied highest score in the third week before a back injury forced her to withdraw in week five. Additionally, Webb was featured as a model in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Webb is a graduate of Auburn University and an Evangelical Christian. She announced her engagement to McCarron in March 2014, and the couple married on July 12, 2014, in Orange Beach, Alabama. They subsequently had three sons, born in May 2016, December 2018, and March 2021. Webb largely withdrew from the public spotlight after her marriage to raise her family and operate a residential real estate agency. In January 2025, she announced her intention to resume her modeling career using her social media presence.
