Jon Crispin

Jonathan Scott Crispin is an American basketball analyst, color commentator, and former collegiate and professional basketball player. Born on January 19, 1981, in Woodbury, New Jersey, he comes from an athletic family. His father played college football, his grandfather was a multi-sport athlete at Temple, and his older brother Joe was a basketball teammate who later played in the NBA.

Crispin attended Pitman High School from 1995 to 1999, where he was a four-year varsity basketball starter alongside multi-sport participation in football and baseball. In basketball, he helped lead his team to two Group I NJ State Championships and achieved multiple state honors. He set a school single-game scoring record with 62 points during a junior-year playoff game and finished his prep career with 2,319 career points.

He began his collegiate basketball career at Penn State University, playing alongside his brother. As a freshman during the 1999–2000 season, he started 22 games and averaged 9.3 points per game. In his sophomore year, he helped Penn State advance to the Sweet 16 in the 2001 NCAA Tournament and recorded a career-high 26 points in a victory against Kentucky.

Crispin transferred to UCLA before his junior year and sat out the 2001–02 season due to NCAA transfer rules. Returning to play for the 2002–03 season, he appeared in 23 games, leading the team in free-throw percentage and placing second in three-point shooting percentage. In his final season in 2003–04, he received UCLA's Elvin C. Ducky Drake Memorial Award for his competitive spirit and team contributions.

Following college, Crispin played professional basketball for two years overseas in Spain and Ireland, as well as in the American Basketball Association. During and after his playing career, he appeared in print advertisements as a model and featured in television commercials for brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, and Ruby Tuesday.

Crispin subsequently transitioned into sports broadcasting, initially working as a radio host, analyst, and color commentator for outlets including Fox Sports Radio, Time Warner SportsNet, the Big Ten Network, and ESPN. He eventually served as the lead basketball analyst for the Big Ten Network and currently works as a color commentator for ESPN, NBC, and Peacock.
