Jasmine Blackborow

Jasmine Blackborow is an English actor who works across theater, television, and feature films. She has gained prominent screen recognition through major television projects, including the Netflix fantasy series Shadow and Bone, the historical drama Marie Antoinette, and Guy Ritchie's action-comedy series The Gentlemen. Her work in feature films includes titles such as School's Out Forever, Daemon Mind, and the biographical drama Moss & Freud.

Raised in North London after being born in the Hackney area of East London, Blackborow pursued advanced study in dramatic performance. She earned a Master of Arts degree in classical acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama prior to beginning her professional acting career.

Blackborow started her career on the stage in 2015, depicting the tragic character Lucy in Theresa Heskins's adaptation of Dracula at the New Vic Theatre. That same year, she performed as Rosie in Rose Lewenstein's play Now This is Not the End at the Arcola Theatre and took on the role of Maid Marian in Jack McNamara's Hood. In 2016, she appeared as Maya The Younger in Lulu Raczka's Grey Man and played Frances in Rodney Ackland's After October. She joined the Pop-up Globe ensemble in 2017, touring Australia and New Zealand as Desdemona in Othello and Ursula in Much Ado About Nothing, before returning to London in 2018 for the production A Winning Hazard.

Along with her theatrical performances, Blackborow established herself in short films. After a lead role in the 2014 short The Swallow, she portrayed a volunteer named Katlyn in Aamir, a short centered on a refugee youth at the Calais Jungle encampment. The project screened internationally and received a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Short Film in 2018. She subsequently performed in the short comedy Dad Joke and the feature The Protector in 2019, followed by her casting as school matron Jane Crowther in the 2021 comedy-horror film School's Out Forever. During 2020, she filmed the horror thriller Daemon Mind, which finished production in 2024 and debuted in April 2025.

Blackborow made her television debut in 2021 playing Marie, an Inferni, in the first season of the Netflix adaptation Shadow and Bone. In 2022, she joined the principal cast of the Canal+ and BBC drama Marie Antoinette. Her television presence expanded further in 2024 when she appeared as Lady Charlotte "Charly" Horniman in Guy Ritchie's Netflix production The Gentlemen, returning to the role for a second season.

Her film credits also feature a supporting performance in Gerard Johnson's thriller Odyssey, which debuted at the 2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival, and a portrayal of fashion designer Bella Freud in the 2025 film Moss & Freud. In 2025, Blackborow was cast in two upcoming Netflix projects: the crime thriller series Legends and an adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, in which she was selected to portray Charlotte Lucas.
