Jaslene Gonzalez

Jaslene Marie González (born May 29, 1986) is a Puerto Rican model and television host who won Cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model. She was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and grew up in Humboldt Park, Chicago, attending Notre Dame High School for Girls. Prior to participating in America's Next Top Model, she worked as an online college admissions advisor and engaged in modeling work, including representation by Avant Garde Models and appearances in local Chicago fashion shows for designers such as Michelle Gomez and Alexis Arquette.

González initially auditioned for Cycle 7 of America's Next Top Model, reaching the top 21 contestants during bootcamp. She re-auditioned for Cycle 8, where she was selected among the top thirteen participants. Throughout Cycle 8, González earned four Covergirl of the Week awards, was called first at panel four times, and won the Go-Sees reward challenge in Sydney. She completed the competition without ever appearing in the bottom two and was named the season's winner, becoming the first contestant in the show's history to compete on multiple cycles and win.

As part of her winning prize, González secured representation with Elite Model Management, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, and a cover and six-page spread in Seventeen magazine. Following her win, she appeared in weekly "My Life As A CoverGirl" segments, hosted style spots for CoverGirl TV, filmed an international CoverGirl commercial, and renewed her contract with the brand. She also made appearances in subsequent seasons of America's Next Top Model, including assisting contestants and opening a runway show in Cycle 9, participating in a photoshoot in Cycle 10, and being featured in Cycle 11's Top Models in Action.

In print, González has appeared on covers and in spreads for various publications, such as Latina, Vibe Vixen, ZooZoom, Trace, JamRock, Splendor, Vanidades, Nylon Mexico, and Marie Claire in India. She was named one of Latina Magazine's Latinas of the Year. Her advertising work includes campaigns for brands such as Lot29, Garnier Nutrisse, Southpole, Kett Cosmetics, Marianne Stores, and Recession Denim, along with four billboards in Times Square.

González has also modeled extensively on the runway. She has walked in several Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week shows for designers including Custo Barcelona, Farah Angsana, Jose Duran, Indashio, Cesar Galindo, and Jillian Lewis. Her runway credits also include Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim, Chicago Latino Fashion Week, Malaysia International Fashion Week, and the season 6 finale of Project Runway.

Outside of modeling, González has hosted television events and appeared on programs such as Live With Regis and Kelly, TRL, The View, 106 & Park, and CBS' The Early Show. She had a cameo in the film Nothing Like the Holidays, appeared in music videos for Ryan Leslie, Aventura, and Magic Juan, and played a role on Chicago Fire. Additionally, she served as "La Madrina" of the 2007 National New York City Puerto Rican Day Parade, received a 2007 Teen Choice Award nomination, and partnered with Liz Claiborne and the National Domestic Violence Hotline for the "Love Is Not Abuse" campaign.
