Ivanka Trump

Ivana Marie "Ivanka" Trump is an American businesswoman who served as an official advisor to her father, President Donald Trump, during his first presidential administration from 2017 to 2021. Prior to her work in public policy and government service, she was an executive vice president at her family-owned company, the Trump Organization, and maintained her own fashion lifestyle brand. She is also known for her appearances on television and her involvement in various real estate, business, and charitable ventures.

Born on October 30, 1981, in Manhattan, New York City, Trump is the second child of Donald Trump and his first wife, Czech-American model Ivana Trump. Raised in Manhattan, she attended Christ Church and the Chapin School before transferring at age 15 to Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut. After graduating in 2000, she attended Georgetown University for two years and subsequently transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in economics in 2004.

During her youth, Trump pursued a modeling career on weekends and holidays. She appeared in advertisements and magazine covers for publications including Seventeen, Vogue, Elle, Teen Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar, as well as campaigns for brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Versace. She co-hosted the Miss Teen USA Pageant in 1997 and later served as a guest judge on Project Runway and Project Runway All Stars. On television, she served as a boardroom judge on her father's reality program, The Apprentice, and its spin-off, Celebrity Apprentice. Additionally, she authored two self-help and business books: The Trump Card in 2009 and Women Who Work in 2017.

In her business career, Trump worked for Forest City Ratner before becoming executive vice president of development and acquisitions at the Trump Organization. In this role, she managed domestic and global real estate interests, leading major projects such as the redevelopment of the Old Post Office building in Washington, D.C., into a luxury hotel and the acquisition of the Doral Hotel in Miami. Independent of her family's firm, she established a fashion lifestyle brand featuring clothing, footwear, accessories, and a fine jewelry line. She closed her fashion company in July 2018 to focus on public policy. Following her government tenure, she co-founded Planet Harvest in 2023 and partnered on real estate projects in Albania.

Trump actively participated in her father's 2016 presidential campaign, delivering speeches, making public appearances, and introducing him at the 2016 Republican National Convention. In January 2017, she stepped down from her role at the Trump Organization and initially served as an unofficial advisor in the White House. In March 2017, she became an official, unpaid Advisor to the President and headed the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship.

While serving in the White House, Trump focused on economic empowerment, workforce development, and female entrepreneurship. She co-authored an op-ed with World Bank leadership, launched the billion-dollar Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative at the 2017 G20 Summit, and led U.S. delegations to international events in India, South Korea, and Germany. She also advocated for anti-human trafficking efforts at the United Nations General Assembly and participated in key diplomatic engagements, including meetings at the 2019 G20 Summit and in the Korean demilitarized zone.
