Ginger Alden

Ginger Alden Leyser is an American model and actress best known for her relationship with singer Elvis Presley, to whom she was engaged at the time of his death in 1977. Following her time with Presley, she worked in television, appeared in modeling projects, and authored a memoir detailing her life and experiences.

Alden was born on November 13, 1956, to Jo and Walter Alden at the US Naval Hospital in Millington, Tennessee. Her father served as a public relations officer in the United States Army. She began her modeling career at a young age, participating in various beauty pageants during her early years.

She first met Elvis Presley when she was five years old. The two met again when she was 20 years old and Presley was 41. After dating for two months, Presley proposed to her with a diamond engagement ring featuring an 11.5-carat center stone taken from his famous TCB ring. The couple scheduled their wedding for December 25, 1977, but Presley died on August 16, 1977, before the wedding took place.

Following Presley's death, Alden pursued a professional career in modeling and acting. Her work in the entertainment industry included various appearances in television programs.

In 2014, Alden published a memoir titled "Elvis and Ginger," which documented her relationship with Presley. The book details their initial meeting, their courtship, and their time together prior to his passing.

In her personal life, Alden married Ron Leyser in 1991, and the couple had one son named Hunter. Her husband, Ron Leyser, passed away on August 16, 2015.
