Georgina Amorós

Georgina Amorós Sagrera is a Spanish actress who was born on 30 April 1998 in Barcelona. She is known for her roles in television series such as Elite, Welcome to the Family, and Locked Up, as well as her appearance in the feature film Rifkin's Festival. She speaks fluent Catalan, Spanish, French, and English.

Amorós began acting as a child in small productions. At the age of 17, she moved to Los Angeles in the United States to study acting. Since 2017, she has worked on several Netflix series, including Welcome to the Family, where she landed her first leading role playing the character Àlex. This production marks her only Catalan-language work, and she has expressed that it is the project she is most proud of due to how much she learned during its production.

Her television career continued with a role in the final season of the prison drama Locked Up, in which she portrayed Fatima Amir, the daughter of Najwa Nimri's character. In 2019, Amorós joined the cast of the Netflix original series Elite as Cayetana, a scholarship student and social media influencer who is the daughter of the school's cleaner.

In addition to her television roles, Amorós was cast in 2019 as Delores in Woody Allen's 2020 film Rifkin's Festival. The performance marked her first fully English-speaking role. Having previously seen Allen's 2008 film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, she was excited to learn that the director had visited her hometown of Barcelona.

Outside of acting, Amorós is a feminist and campaigns against LGBT+ discrimination. In 2019, she contributed to the campaign 'Por Un Solo Voto' to encourage young people in Spain to vote. That same year, she deleted her Twitter account after receiving death threats related to her character on Elite. Since late 2019, she has been in a relationship with producer Diego Betancor.
