Ewa Da Cruz

Ewa Da Cruz, born Ewa Benedicte Övre Skulstad on July 9, 1977, and also known as Ewa Skulstad, is a Norwegian-American television, soap opera, and film actress. She is best known for her television role as the high-roller heiress Vienna Hyatt on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns.

Da Cruz was born in Tromsø and raised in Bergen, Norway. She started her modeling career in Norway at eight years old by working for a major clothing line, eventually continuing to model for print advertisements, editorials, and runway shows in Oslo. She later moved to the United States to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, graduating in 2004. Following her graduation, she was selected as a member of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Theatre Company for 2004 and 2005.

Her acting career includes playing Vienna Hyatt on As the World Turns from 2006 to 2010. Following her relocation to New York, Da Cruz appeared in feature films such as Bella, Kettle of Fish, Sex & Sushi, Dice, Charlie, Abingdon, I Think I Thought, and Dogs Lie. She has also taken supporting television roles on series including Lipstick Jungle, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Damages, and she appeared in the music video for "Su Veneno" ("Her Poison") by Aventura.

Throughout her modeling career, Da Cruz has worked across print advertisements, editorials, runway shows, magazine covers, and commercials in both Europe and the United States. She posed nude for the Norwegian edition of Playboy magazine as the Playmate of the Month for May 1999. Her magazine appearances include French Vogue, Film Tidskrift, Shape-Up, KK, Det Nye, Mascara, Rouge, Watch! Magazine, and Capitol File. Additionally, she has worked as a cover model for romance novels, such as Elizabeth Hoyt's Scandalous Desires.

Beyond acting and modeling, Da Cruz has worked as a freelance journalist. Her writing includes monthly columns published in the Norwegian editions of magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Rouge, and Mascara.

In 2007, Da Cruz was named one of Soap's most beautiful women and voted ATWT's hottest newcomer by Soap Opera Digest. That same year, she won a Dankie Award at Soap Central for Outstanding Special Guest or Recurring Role. For the 2007–2008 Dankies, she earned several nominations, including Outstanding Supporting Actress, Outstanding Newcomer, Favourite Onscreen Couple or Duo, and Outstanding Overall Performer, while winning the award for Most Attractive Female Star.
