Eve Torres

Eve Marie Torres Gracie (born Eve Marie Torres on August 21, 1984) is an American actress, dancer, model, martial arts instructor, and former professional wrestler. She is signed to WWE as an ambassador. Torres initially worked as a dancer and model before entering professional wrestling, where she became the first three-time WWE Divas Champion. Following her retirement from in-ring competition, she transitioned into self-defense instruction and acting.

Torres was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Denver, Colorado. Her father is of Euro-Nicaraguan descent, and her mother is of German and Swedish descent. She has a younger brother, Phil, who works as an explorer and biologist. Torres attended the University of Southern California on a full tuition scholarship, graduating with honors in May 2006 with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. During college, she was a founding member and vice president of her campus's Omega Phi Beta sorority chapter and received an award for Academic Excellence.

While attending college and after graduating, Torres pursued dancing and modeling. She served as co-captain and choreographer for the USC Fly Girls dance squad and danced for The Southern California Summer Pro League. She later joined the Los Angeles Clippers Spirit Dance Team for the 2006–2007 season and appeared on television shows such as Show Me The Money, Sunset Tan, and Deal or No Deal.

In 2007, Torres entered and won the WWE Diva Search, earning a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. After training in Ohio Valley Wrestling, she debuted on WWE television as a backstage interviewer in 2008 before becoming a full-time wrestler in 2009. In April 2010, after winning a contender battle royal, she defeated Maryse to capture her first WWE Divas Championship. She won the title a second time at the Royal Rumble in January 2011.

In late 2011 and 2012, Torres participated in high-profile storylines on Raw and SmackDown, eventually taking on an on-screen authority role as Executive Administrator. In September 2012, she won the Divas Championship for a third time at Night of Champions, making her the first person to hold the title three times in WWE history.

After retiring from professional wrestling in 2013, Torres became an instructor for the Gracie Women Empowered self-defense program at the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Torrance, California. She also continued her acting career, earning roles in the film Skiptrace and the television series Supergirl, while maintaining her role as a ambassador for WWE.
