Erin Brady

Erin Joyce Brady, born November 5, 1987, is an American television host, model, and beauty pageant titleholder. She gained national prominence after being crowned Miss USA 2013, becoming the first delegate representing the state of Connecticut to win the national title. Following her victory, she went on to represent the United States at the international Miss Universe 2013 competition.

Brady completed her high school education at Portland High School in 2005. She pursued higher education at Central Connecticut State University, graduating in 2010 with a degree in finance and a minor in criminal justice. Following her graduation, she entered the corporate field as a financial accountant for Prudential Retirement in Hartford, Connecticut. In 2014, she returned to Central Connecticut State University to deliver the address at the undergraduate commencement ceremony.

Brady began competing in pageantry at the state level in Connecticut. In her first attempt at the state title, she placed as the first runner-up. She returned the following year and was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2013. Winning the state competition earned her the opportunity to represent Connecticut on the national stage at the Miss USA 2013 pageant held on June 16, 2013.

During the Miss USA 2013 event, Brady was crowned the winner by the outgoing titleholder, Miss USA 2012 Nana Meriwether. The victory made Brady the first woman from the state of Connecticut ever to be crowned Miss USA. Following her win, she was inducted into New York City's Ride of Fame in August 2013.

As Miss USA, Brady represented the United States at the 62nd annual Miss Universe pageant in Moscow, Russia, on November 9, 2013, competing to succeed outgoing Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo. During the event, Brady wore a Transformer national costume. She placed in the Top 10 of the competition, ultimately taking sixth place overall.

Alongside her modeling and pageant endeavors, Brady engaged in philanthropic activities. She assisted with the Ferrari and Friends Concorso, which works closely with the Children's Medical Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Her selected charities also included Susan G. Komen, Walk for The Cure, and Habitat for Humanity. Shaped by her own childhood, she made it her goal to serve as an advocate for children of alcohol addicts.

In her personal life, Brady was scheduled to marry Tony Capasso on November 9, 2013. Due to competing in the Miss Universe pageant on that date and complying with Miss USA rules, the wedding was delayed until after her reign ended, and the couple married on December 13, 2014. She later married Nick Colagiovanni in 2020. Her family includes her cousins, Marc and Dean.
