Dominique Young Unique

Dominique Lashawn Clark, known professionally by her stage name Dominique Young Unique, is an American rapper and model born on March 15, 1991. Over the course of her career, she has secured recording contracts with major labels, signing to Sony Records in 2012 before ending the agreement in 2014. She subsequently signed with The Hana Road Music group.

Clark began modeling in 2011, making her runway debut for London-based fashion designer Katie Eary. The following year, she expanded her print work by appearing in the September 2012 issue of Vogue magazine alongside fellow models Tali Lennox and Cara Delevingne.

Her music career gained early recognition in 2009 with the release of her debut EP, Hot Girl. She followed this project in 2010 with a promotional video for the track "War Talk," which was featured on her debut mixtape titled Domination. In 2011, she released two additional mixtapes, Glamorous Touch and Stupid Pretty, along with several promotional videos.

Throughout her career, Clark has collaborated with various prominent producers and musicians. She worked with Mad Decent-signed producer Branko and music act A.N.D.Y. She was also featured on the song "Earthquake," a joint release by DJ Fresh and Diplo through Ministry of Sound. Clark performed "Earthquake" alongside DJ Fresh during his set at the Electric Daisy Carnival in New York and again at Radio 1's Big Weekend on the 1Xtra Arena/In New Music We Trust Stage. An edited version of the track, titled "Motherquake," was included on the Kick-Ass 2 soundtrack.

In February 2014, Clark appeared as a featured artist on Le Youth's single "Dance with Me," which peaked at number 11 on the official UK singles chart. She followed this success by releasing her official debut single, "Throw It Down," on April 20, 2014. Later in her career, she contributed as the featured artist on Don Diablo's single "Drifter," which was released in May 2016.
