Danny Gonzalez

Daniel James "Danny" Gonzalez is an American YouTuber, comedian, and musician born on June 12, 1994. Originally gaining widespread recognition on the short-form video platform Vine, he successfully transitioned to YouTube, where he became one of the internet's most popular commentary creators. Known for his witty reactions, satirical music videos, and engaging commentary on web trends, Gonzalez has established a massive digital presence.

Early Life and Vine Beginnings

Raised in Wheaton, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, Gonzalez developed an interest in video editing and comedy during his middle school years. He attended Wheaton North High School before pursuing higher education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a degree in computational media in 2016. In 2013, while still in college, he began posting humorous six-second skits on Vine. His creative use of visual special effects and sharp comedic timing helped him build a dedicated following of over two million subscribers on the platform before it shut down in early 2017.

YouTube Career and Content Style

Following Vine's closure, Gonzalez shifted his main creative efforts to YouTube under his primary channel handle @Danny-Gonzalez. His content primarily revolves around commentary and reaction videos, in which he humorously critiques unusual internet trends, strange DIY channels, viral mobile games, and low-budget films. He is also known for creating high-production parody songs, original comedic music tracks, and elaborate social experiments. Over the years, he has frequently collaborated with fellow commentary creators such as Drew Gooden and Kurtis Conner, even co-headlining a live comedy tour. Gonzalez affectionately refers to his audience as "Greg," a running joke framed as the fastest-growing fanbase on the platform.

Personal Life

Gonzalez is based in the Chicago, Illinois area. He married his high school sweetheart, Laura Fuechsl, in July 2017. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in late 2023, and announced the arrival of their second child in late 2025. Outside of main-channel commentary, Gonzalez maintains secondary YouTube channels for gaming and casual behind-the-scenes content, while maintaining an active presence across major social media platforms.
