Dannii Minogue

Danielle Jane Minogue, born on 20 October 1971 in Surrey Hills, Melbourne, is an Australian singer, television personality, and actress. She is the younger daughter of dancer Carol Ann Jones and accountant Ronald Charles Minogue, and the younger sister of singer Kylie Minogue. She attended Camberwell Primary School and Camberwell High School. Minogue began her career as a child on television, appearing in soap operas such as Skyways and The Sullivans before joining the music programme Young Talent Time in 1982. In 1988, she launched her own fashion line named Dannii.

In 1989, Minogue played the role of Emma Jackson on the soap opera Home and Away, receiving a nomination for a Silver Logie for Most Popular Actress. She signed a recording contract with Mushroom Records in 1989 and released her debut album, titled Dannii in Australia and Love and Kisses internationally, in 1990 and 1991. The album reached number eight in the United Kingdom and was certified gold, producing singles such as "Love and Kisses", "Success", and "Jump to the Beat". In 1991, she also made her feature film debut in Secrets.

Following her second album, Get into You, in 1993, Minogue co-hosted the UK morning television show The Big Breakfast and earned two Japanese number-one singles in 1995 with "Rescue Me" and "Boogie Woogie". She subsequently made her stage debut playing Rizzo in the 1997 musical Grease: The Arena Spectacular, receiving a Mo Award nomination for her performance. Later in 1997, Minogue reinvented herself as a dance artist with her third album, Girl. The lead single, "All I Wanna Do", became her first number-one hit on the UK dance chart.

Minogue achieved the greatest commercial success of her music career with her fourth studio album, Neon Nights, released in 2003. The 1980s-inspired dance-pop album peaked at number eight on the UK albums chart and produced four UK top-ten singles: "Who Do You Love Now?", "Put the Needle on It", "I Begin to Wonder", and "Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling". Her music releases also include the 2006 compilation album The Hits & Beyond, featuring the single "So Under Pressure", and her fifth studio album, Club Disco, released in 2007.

Throughout her career, Minogue has sold over seven million records worldwide, accumulating nine UK Top 10 singles, 13 consecutive UK number-one dance singles, and 12 Top 30 singles in Australia. In addition to music and acting, she built a career in television. Minogue served as a judge on shows including The X Factor UK, Australia's Got Talent, Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model, The X Factor Australia, Let It Shine, and The Masked Singer Australia. She has also presented shows such as It's Not Just Saturday, Dance Boss, Ultimate Beastmaster, I Kissed a Boy, and I Kissed a Girl.
