Christina Tosi

Christina Tosi is an American pastry chef, entrepreneur, and author best known as the founder of Milk Bar, a dessert brand that expanded into an international chain of bakeries and retail products. Born in Berea, Ohio, she pursued undergraduate studies before earning a degree in pastry arts from the French Culinary Institute in New York City.

Early in her culinary career, Tosi worked at fine-dining establishments in New York City, including wd~50 and Bouley. She joined David Chang's Momofuku restaurant group in an administrative role before creating its dessert program, leading to the launch of the first Milk Bar location in 2008. At Milk Bar, she gained widespread recognition for inventive, nostalgia-inspired creations such as Cereal Milk soft serve, the Compost Cookie, and unfrosted layer cakes.

Tosi has received notable honors for her work in pastry, including James Beard Foundation Awards for Rising Star Chef of the Year and Outstanding Pastry Chef. Beyond the kitchen, she has authored several cookbooks, including Momofuku Milk Bar, Milk Bar Life, and All About Cake. Her media work includes serving as a judge on the television competition series MasterChef and MasterChef Junior, as well as hosting the Netflix baking series Bake Squad and being featured on Chef's Table: Pastry.

In addition to expanding Milk Bar's retail presence, Tosi launched Bake Club, an online community and interactive platform centered on home baking and recipe development.
