Bobby Berk

Bobby Berk is an American interior designer, television personality, and author who gained widespread international recognition as the interior design expert on the hit Netflix reality series Queer Eye. Known for his ability to transform living spaces in tight timeframes, Berk appeared in the show's first eight seasons, winning a Primetime Emmy Award alongside his co-hosts. Beyond television, he has built a multifaceted career spanning retail, residential development, product design, and digital content creation.

Early Career and Design Success

Born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Missouri, Berk developed a passion for design through hands-on retail and creative work. Moving to Denver and later New York City in the early 2000s, he gained experience working for high-profile home furnishing retailers including Bed Bath & Beyond, Restoration Hardware, and Portico. Despite lacking formal higher education in interior design, Berk rose through creative leadership roles before founding his own online home decor brand, Bobby Berk Home, in 2006. He subsequently opened brick-and-mortar showrooms in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, eventually launching his full-service interior design firm, Bobby Berk Design.

Television and Media Career

Berk’s breakout television milestone came in 2018 when he was cast as one of the "Fab Five" on Netflix's reboot of Queer Eye. On the show, he oversaw full-scale architectural and interior renovations for everyday individuals, earning widespread acclaim for his functional, lifestyle-enhancing aesthetic. After completing eight seasons on Queer Eye, Berk expanded his media footprint by hosting and producing television projects, including the HGTV home design series Junk or Jackpot?. He has also authored design books, launched licensed product lines in furniture and home decor, and made guest appearances across networks like NBC, Bravo, and CBS.

Personal Life

Berk resides in Los Angeles, California, with his husband, Dewey Do, a maxillofacial surgeon whom he married in 2012. Outside of his commercial design practice and television commitments, Berk actively shares home styling tips, lifestyle advice, and behind-the-scenes content across digital platforms, including his official Instagram page and YouTube channel.
