Austin North

Austin Michael North is an American actor born on July 30, 1996. He is best known for his main roles in television projects, specifically portraying Logan Watson on the Disney Channel comedy series I Didn't Do It and playing Topper Thornton in the Netflix teen drama Outer Banks.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, North spent his childhood there before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, alongside his family. He launched his professional career in the entertainment industry in 2011 at the age of fifteen. In his first few years as a performer, he secured guest starring spots across various television series, which included appearances on shows such as General Hospital, Kickin' It, A.N.T. Farm, See Dad Run, and Jessie.

North reached a major milestone in his career in 2014 when he was cast as a primary lead in the Disney Channel original series I Didn't Do It. Running from 2014 to 2015, the sitcom featured him as Logan Watson, working alongside fellow actors Olivia Holt, Sarah Gilman, Peyton Clark, and Piper Curda. Later, in 2018, North starred in another leading role as the character Oz in the Hulu original series All Night. Created by Jason Ubaldi, the teen comedy streaming show premiered on May 11, 2018.

In 2020, North was cast as the antagonist Topper Thornton in the Netflix teen drama Outer Banks, created by Shannon Burke, Josh Pate, and Jonas Pate. The show launched on April 15, 2020, featuring North alongside Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, and Drew Starkey, with North's role extending from 2020 through 2026. Moving into film, North made his cinematic debut on April 12, 2023, portraying Shepley Maddox in Beautiful Disaster. The romantic drama feature starred Dylan Sprouse and Virginia Gardner and was adapted from the 2011 new adult book authored by Jamie McGuire.

Regarding his personal relationships, North dated Duck Dynasty reality television star Sadie Robertson for a period of four months in 2018. Following their split, Robertson confirmed that they remained good friends who maintained positive communication with one another.

In February 2024, North was involved in an incident in Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in his arrest on February 13, 2024. After entering an emergency room, he allegedly assaulted hospital employees, including a phlebotomist and multiple nurses. He was booked on gross misdemeanor battery charges and subsequently posted bail. On February 15, 2024, North released a public statement explaining that he had experienced an extreme panic attack while being taken to the hospital for what he initially feared was a heart attack, noting that hospital tests for alcohol and drugs were negative and expressing deep respect for medical personnel.
