Anton del Rosario

Anton Edward Quimson del Rosario is an American-born Filipino model, former professional soccer player, and sports entrepreneur. Born on December 23, 1981, in San Francisco, California, he gained international recognition both as a defender for the Philippines national football team and as a prominent fashion and commercial model in Southeast Asia and North America.

Early Life and Background

Del Rosario grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he developed a passion for soccer at an early age alongside his older brother. He attended Burlingame High School in California, where he was part of a championship-winning varsity soccer squad that was later inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame. Del Rosario continued his education and athletic development at Skyline College before transferring to Notre Dame de Namur University, playing collegiate soccer while refining his skills as a defender.

Sports and Modeling Career

Del Rosario transitioned to senior-level soccer in 1999 when he joined Kaya FC in the Philippines, serving as team captain during a long-tenured career with the club. He made his international debut for the Philippines national team, the Azkals, in 2004, representing the country in numerous international tournaments including the AFF Championship and AFC Challenge Cup. Alongside his athletic achievements, del Rosario established a successful modeling career, appearing in fashion editorials, brand campaigns, and high-profile runway events, including shows for Bench Body and various international lifestyle brands.

Business and Personal Life

In addition to playing and modeling, del Rosario expanded into sports executive roles and entrepreneurship. He founded the 7's Football League, the Philippines' premier seven-a-side football league, aimed at expanding grass-roots access to the sport across the region, and co-founded Maharlika Manila FC. He also served as CEO of the sports networking application LARO and helped assemble Asian talent for international tournaments. Del Rosario is married to designer Samantha Richelle, and the couple has a son named Myles. After living in the Philippines for many years, he relocated back to California to continue his entrepreneurial and family pursuits.
