Agatha Moreira

Agatha Cerqueira Pereira Moreira is a Brazilian actress and former model born on January 19, 1992. She initially worked as an international model before transitioning to acting, gaining wide recognition for her television roles in Brazil. She made her television acting debut in the twentieth season of the teen telenovela Malhação in 2012 and subsequently starred in several prominent soap operas, including Em Família, Verdades Secretas, and A Dona do Pedaço.

Moreira was born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in the neighborhood of Olaria. She is the daughter of Enilda Cerqueira, a driver, and Antônio Moreira, a retired businessman. She has two siblings, Cristiane Moreira and Augusto Cerqueira. Her parents separated when she was three years old, and she lived with her father due to a family agreement based on his living conditions at the time. She was inspired to enter the acting industry by her cousin, actress Samara Felippo.

Her modeling career began in 2006 at age 14 when her aunt, Lea Felippo, recommended she audition for Elite Model Management in Brazil. After submitting improvised photos, she was selected as one of 20 hired models. In 2009, she joined 40º Graus Models and relocated to Chile, modeling for designers across Latin America while also completing temporary assignments in Japan, Peru, and the Dominican Republic. In 2010, she lived in South Korea for six months, appearing in the music video for "Shut Up!" by the boy band U-KISS, before spending six months in Miami. She moved to New York in 2011, photographing for publications such as Vogue and Stylist while working as an event promoter to fund her future acting studies in Brazil.

Upon returning to Brazil in 2012, Moreira took a theater course and submitted a homemade video audition to Rede Globo. She was cast as the protagonist Ju in the twentieth season of Malhação. In 2014, she played Giselle in Em Família. The following year, she achieved major recognition portraying the spoiled villain Giovanna in Verdades Secretas and competed in the twelfth season of the talent show Dança dos Famosos.

Moreira continued appearing in television productions, playing Camila in Haja Coração in 2016, Domitila de Castro in Novo Mundo in 2017, and Ema Cavalcante in Orgulho e Paixão in 2018. In 2019, she played her breakout role as the psychopathic social climber Josiane in A Dona do Pedaço, the rival character to protagonist Maria da Paz, played by Juliana Paes.

In 2021, Moreira reprised her role as Giovanna in the continuation of Verdades Secretas. She made a guest appearance in the premiere of Cara e Coragem in 2022. In 2023, she joined the cast of Terra e Paixão as Graça, representing her fourth role playing a villain created by author Walcyr Carrasco.

In her personal life, Moreira dated actor and model Pablo Morais from 2010 to 2012, living with him in New York. She was later in relationships with filmmaker Pedro Nicoll from 2013 to 2016 and actor Pedro Lamin from 2016 to 2018. While filming Orgulho e Paixão, she began dating her co-star Rodrigo Simas, a relationship they made official in January 2019.
