Valery Kaufman

Valery Kaufman, born Valeria Kaufman on May 30, 1994, is a Russian fashion model. She is best known for her appearances in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows in 2015 and 2016.

Born in Moscow, Kaufman was actively involved in dancing from an early age and subsequently toured extensively around the world. In the early 2010s, she submitted her photographs to various modeling agencies in New York. Shortly after, she was invited to and successfully passed a casting call for a Tom Ford fashion show, initiating her professional modeling career.

Her career progressed rapidly following her feature on the cover of the March 2015 issue of Vogue Russia. Following this appearance, she received invitations to walk for major fashion houses, including Chanel, Dior, and Valentino. Over the course of her career, Kaufman has participated in runway shows for numerous prominent designers and brands, such as Alberta Ferretti, Alexander Wang, Alexandre Vauthier, Balmain, Blumarine, Diane von Furstenberg, Dolce & Gabbana, Elie Saab, Emilio Pucci, Fendi, Giambattista Valli, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Versace, and Yves Saint Laurent. Additionally, she became one of French photographer Patrick Demarchelier's favorite models.

Kaufman's professional achievements received notable industry recognition in 2015. That year, Models.com named her one of the World's Top 50 Models, and she was selected as the best Russian model by Glamour magazine.

In her personal life, Kaufman was in a relationship with American musician and actor Jared Leto from 2015 to 2021. She later met businessman Dimitri Varsano, the son of 1985 Miss Polonia Katarzyna Zawidzka and businessman Sergo Varsano, at an amfAR gala. The couple began dating in October 2021, and Varsano proposed one year later in October 2022. On May 11, 2024, Kaufman married Varsano in ceremonies held at the Mairie Du 16ème in Paris and at Lake Como in Italy. On May 30, 2026, she announced via her official Instagram account that she and her husband were expecting their first child.
