Sarah Lahbati

Sarah Lahbati is a Swiss-born actress and performer of Moroccan and Filipina heritage who gained prominence in Philippine television and film. Born on October 9, 1993, in Geneva, Switzerland, to a Filipina mother and a Moroccan father, she spent her early years completing her initial studies in Switzerland prior to relocating to the Philippines. She made her initial screen appearance playing the daughter of Bong Revilla in the comedy project Hokus Pokus.

Her career expanded significantly after she entered the fifth season of StarStruck, an overall talent competition show airing on GMA Network. Following nine weeks of performance rounds, she was selected as StarStruck V's Ultimate Female Survivor along with fellow contestant Steven Silva. The win earned her a cash prize of 1.5 million pesos and an exclusive GMA Network contract featuring a minimum guaranteed amount of 3.5 million pesos.

Following her reality show victory, Lahbati secured several prominent television roles. She headlined the GMA drama series Kokak in 2011 and co-starred in the 2012 series Makapiling Kang Muli alongside her partner Richard Gutierrez. She also appeared in several other network programs, including Love Bug Presents: Exchange of Hearts, Little Star, Koreana, and Time of My Life, while performing as a regular cast member on the weekly variety broadcasts Party Pilipinas and Sunday All Stars.

In late 2012, Lahbati publicly requested a release from her contract via Twitter. This led GMA Network and executive Annette Gozon-Abrogar to file a lawsuit and a formal breach of contract complaint against her in January 2013, following statements by network head Felipe Gozon. Lahbati briefly relocated to Switzerland under the initial explanation of pursuing her studies, during which she gave birth to her first child with Gutierrez in May 2013 at age 19. She returned to the Philippines in August 2013 to address the legal proceedings.

After her GMA contract expired, Lahbati transferred to ABS-CBN in 2015 and formally joined the Viva Artists Agency in June of that year. Dubbed the Dance Goddess, she became a regular act on the musical variety program ASAP and participated in the E! Philippines series It Takes Gutz To Be a Gutierrez.

Lahbati went on to join the drama series Written in Our Stars in early 2017 alongside Toni Gonzaga, Piolo Pascual, Jolina Magdangal, and Sam Milby. That same year, she played the villainous role of Valentina, the Goddess of Snakes, in the film Darna, produced by Star Cinema and Reality Entertainment. She later continued her work with ABS-CBN through minor and supporting acting engagements.

Lahbati married actor Richard Gutierrez in Taguig on March 14, 2020. The couple shares two sons, Zion, born April 29, 2013, and Kai, born March 21, 2018. On March 1, 2024, Lahbati confirmed their separation while noting that they maintain a co-parenting arrangement for their children, and Gutierrez later stated in January 2025 that an annulment was being sought.
