Rose Bertram

Stephanie Rose Bertram, professionally known as Rose Bertram, is a Belgian model and actress. Born on October 26, 1994, in Kortrijk, Belgium, she was raised in the Flemish town of Deinze. She has a diverse background, born to a Belgian father of Scottish descent and a mother of Portuguese, Angolan, and Senegalese origin.

Bertram began her path into the modeling industry at a young age when her mother signed her with an agency at 13. By the age of 16, she was cast by the Dominique agency. Early in her career, she attracted notice through her work with photographer Juergen Teller for Jambox.

At age 18, Bertram relocated to the United States and signed with the agency Marilyn. Her modeling career expanded as she was featured in photo articles for Oyster, shot by Tyler, the Creator, as well as in Galore magazine. Over the course of her career, she has modeled for several fashion houses and appeared in advertising campaigns for prominent brands such as H&M, L'Oréal, Hunkemöller, Primark, and Agent Provocateur.

Bertram achieved a significant milestone in 2015 when she became the first Belgian model to be featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Beyond modeling, she expanded into acting, making her film debut in 2023 with a role in the action comedy Scotoe.

In her personal life, Bertram was previously in a relationship with Dutch football player Gregory van der Wiel, whom she met when she was 17. The couple lived in Paris while van der Wiel played for Paris Saint-Germain, and later moved to Istanbul following his 2016 transfer to Fenerbahçe. The couple had two daughters, the first born in Toronto in 2018, before their relationship ended in 2022.
