RAF Camora

Raphael Ragucci, known professionally as RAF Camora, is an Austrian rapper, singer, and music producer. Born on June 4, 1984, in Vevey, Switzerland, to an Austrian father from Vorarlberg and an Italian mother from Naples, he eventually settled in Vienna, Austria, in 1997, growing up in the Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus district.

Early in his career, he founded a hip hop crew with the Polish artist Rapatoi. At the age of 17, he joined the French Connection crew and later became part of the French-speaking group Assaut Mystik. Ragucci also co-founded the band Balkan Express alongside rapper Joshi Mizu. The combined efforts of Assaut Mystik and Balkan Express resulted in the joint debut album Family Bizz. In 2006, he released the EP Skandal in collaboration with Emirez, followed by his 2009 debut solo studio album, Nächster Stopp Zukunft, released under the name RAF Camora.

In January 2010, Ragucci temporarily shelved his original moniker and adopted the stage name RAF 3.0. Under this name, he signed with the Vienna-based record label Irievibrations Records. Through this label, he released the self-titled album RAF 3.0 in 2012 and the album Hoch 2 in 2013. Both releases achieved major commercial success across the German, Austrian, and Swiss music charts.

Reverting back to the name RAF Camora, Ragucci founded his own independent record label, Indipendenza, in 2013. Following the announcement of his fourth studio album, Ghøst, in January 2016, the project was released on April 15, 2016, and debuted in the top 20 across German-speaking Europe. He followed this success with the release of the album Anthrazit in 2017, which also performed strongly on the German, Austrian, and Swiss charts.

On November 1, 2019, Ragucci released his album Zenit. The project reached the number one spot on the Ö3 Austria and Schweizer Hitparade charts for two weeks, and held the top position on the Offizielle Top 100 in Germany for one week.
