NICKMERCS

Nick Kolcheff, widely recognized by his online alias Nickmercs, is an American digital content creator, live streamer, and internet personality. He gained significant prominence through his professional gaming endeavors and high-profile online broadcasts.

Throughout his competitive gaming career, Kolcheff achieved notable success in the battle royale game Fortnite, accumulating more than $190,000 from prize earnings in tournament competitions.

In May 2019, Kolcheff severed ties with the esports organization 100 Thieves, pointing to unfulfilled commitments and organizational mismanagement, specifically regarding a promised five percent equity stake. The dispute led to a personal rift with the company's founder, Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, resulting in the cessation of their communication. Later that same month, he officially affiliated with FaZe Clan.

Following his departure from 100 Thieves, Kolcheff elected to remain on the Twitch platform despite receiving alternative proposals from competing streaming services. His channel frequently attracted viewership exceeding 70,000 simultaneous users. By the end of 2019, his total earnings were estimated at $6 million, ranking him as the tenth highest-earning video game personality of that year.

In May 2023, Activision introduced an in-game character cosmetics bundle modeled after Kolcheff for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. However, the skin was removed the following month after he posted a comment on social media regarding LGBTQ content in school curricula. Subsequent public statements concerning transgender individuals in June 2024 generated further controversy and resulted in a temporary suspension from Twitch, which he publicly stated was due to his use of a derogatory term.

Kolcheff expanded his distribution channels in October 2023 by entering into a one-year, non-exclusive broadcasting arrangement with Kick, which incorporated a gambling agreement valued at approximately $10 million. After this contract concluded in late 2024, he resumed his primary broadcasting activity on Twitch. In January 2025, he announced his departure from FaZe Clan, clarifying that the decision was a mutual progression rather than the result of internal conflict.

On a personal level, Kolcheff is married and is the father of two sons.
