Nadech Kugimiya

Nadech Kugimiya is a prominent Thai actor recognized for his extensive work across television and cinema. He gained widespread popularity through his performances in television dramas such as Duang Jai Akkanee and Game Rai Game Rak, and went on to star in notable projects including Sunset at Chaophraya, The Rising Sun Series, Leh Lub Salub Rarng, The Crown Princess, the Thai adaptation of My Love from the Star, The Con-Heartist, and Death Whisperer.

Born Chonlathit Yodprathum on December 17, 1991, in Khon Kaen, Thailand, he was raised by his adoptive parents, Sudarat Kugimiya, who is his biological aunt, and Yoshio Kugimiya. His biological mother is Thai, while his biological father is Austrian. Originally given the nickname Brand, he eventually became widely known by the moniker Barry. He pursued his higher education at Rangsit University, earning a bachelor's degree in communications with a specialization in Film and Cinematography, and later completed a master's degree in May 2020.

Kugimiya began his path in entertainment through commercial modeling, debuting in a Trident Recaldent chewing gum advertisement alongside actress Patcharapa Chaichua. He made his television drama acting debut in 2010 starring as Nawa Gamtornpuwanat in Ngao Rak Luang Jai. His career reached major breakthrough status shortly after when he portrayed Fai Akkanee Adisuan in Duang Jai Akkanee and Saichon or Charles Makovich in Game Rai Game Rak, both opposite Urassaya Sperbund. Managed by Suphachai Srivijit under an exclusive contract with Channel 3, he was also featured as part of the promotional group 4+1 Channel 3 Superstar alongside Mario Maurer, Prin Suparat, Pakorn Chatborirak, and Phupoom Pongpanu.

Alongside his acting work, Kugimiya is recognized as one of Thailand's top-earning actors and a sought-after commercial figure, earning the informal title King of Presenters. He has frequently appeared across print, television, and billboard campaigns for major brands, including Shopee, OPPO, 7-Eleven, AIR ASIA, Daikin, and TrueMove H.

Throughout his career, Kugimiya has received extensive recognition, collecting over one hundred awards. These include Best Actor honors from the Suphannahong National Film Awards, Nataraja Awards, TV Gold Awards, and Mekhala Awards. Outside of entertainment, he has established business ventures, co-founding the leather goods and spa service company TheReCrafting alongside Prin Suparat and two non-industry partners, as well as launching the athletic development center Sport Tech Pro in Ekkamai.

In his personal life, Kugimiya has been in a relationship with actress Urassaya Sperbund since 2011. The couple publicly announced their engagement on June 5, 2023, following a proposal in Positano, Italy. They subsequently married on April 17, 2026, in an Isan-themed ceremony held in Khon Kaen.
