Nabilla Benattia

Nabilla Leona Grange Benattia-Vergara, recognized publicly simply as Nabilla, is a French-Algerian model, television personality, and author. She initially gained widespread public visibility through various French reality television broadcasts, establishing a prominent profile across media platforms.

Born in Ambilly, France, to an Algerian father and a Swiss-Italian mother, Benattia began modeling early in her youth. She was hired by an agency at the age of 14 and was later named Miss Geneva International Motor Show 2011 while representing Peugeot. At age 17, she misrepresented her age to participate in the broadcast dating series L'Amour est aveugle. Following her initial television appearances, she underwent cosmetic surgery and was subsequently featured in publications such as Maxim and Playboy.

In 2012, Benattia gained further attention on the NRJ 12 series Les Anges de la télé-réalité during its fourth season in Hawaii. While on the program, she engaged in a romantic relationship with musician Sofiane Tadjine-Lambert, who authored a chart-topping track inspired by her. Returning for the show's fifth season in Florida, Benattia uttered a confessional remark regarding a castmate's lack of shampoo. The segment went viral across French media, spawning extensive online parodies, corporate marketing campaigns by major brands, and several registered trademarks based on her phrased catchphrase.

Following her viral breakthrough, Benattia starred in her own reality television series, Allô Nabilla, which debuted on NRJ 12 in November 2013. The program documented her life and family across multiple seasons, beginning in Los Angeles. She expanded her scripted and broadcast career with roles in Hollywood Girls and joined the panel of the talk show Touche pas à mon poste ! in September 2014. Her public media profile also inspired an artistic gallery exhibition by conceptual artist Andy Picci in June 2018, which overlaid her facial features onto classical fine art paintings.

In April 2016, Benattia published her autobiographical book titled Trop vite. Outside of her creative endeavors, she married Thomas Vergara in Paris in May 2019 after several years together. The couple later relocated to Dubai and have two sons, born in October 2019 and June 2022.
