Link Neal

Charles Lincoln "Link" Neal III (born June 1, 1978) is an American YouTuber, comedian, host, and co-founder of Mythical Entertainment. He is best known as one half of the comedy duo Rhett & Link alongside his lifelong friend Rhett McLaughlin. Together, they host the popular daily YouTube talk show Good Mythical Morning, which has amassed billions of views and millions of subscribers since launching in 2012.

Early Life and Education

Neal was born in Durham, North Carolina, and raised in Buies Creek. He met Rhett McLaughlin on their first day of first grade at Buies Creek Elementary School in 1984, after both received detention for writing on their desks. During detention, they were assigned to color pictures of mythical creatures, an event that inspired their lifelong friendship and future brand identity. Neal attended Harnett Central High School and later enrolled at North Carolina State University, where he shared an apartment with McLaughlin and earned a degree in industrial engineering. After college, he briefly worked as an engineer before resigning to pursue full-time digital video creation and comedy.

Career and Mythical Entertainment

In 2006, Neal and McLaughlin founded Mythical Entertainment, an internet-first production company and studio based in Los Angeles, California. They initially gained widespread attention by creating viral low-budget local commercials and original comedy music videos. In January 2012, they launched Good Mythical Morning, a daily morning variety show featuring food challenges, product testing, and celebrity guest appearances. The series expanded into a digital media franchise, spawning the after-show Good Mythical More and the culinary channel Mythical Kitchen. Neal also co-hosts the weekly podcast Ear Biscuits, co-created the narrative comedy series Rhett & Link's Buddy System, and co-authored the bestselling novel The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek.

Personal Life

Neal married Christy White in 2000, having met during their college years in North Carolina. The couple resides in the Los Angeles area and has three children: Lily, Lincoln, and Lando. Through Mythical Entertainment, Neal supports numerous charitable causes, including educational programs, and co-established an engineering scholarship at North Carolina State University.
