Lindsay Ellingson

Lindsay Marie Ellingson is an American model born on November 19, 1984, in San Bernardino County, California. She grew up in Moreno Valley, California, and is of Norwegian ancestry. Before beginning her modeling career, she attended the University of California, San Diego, where she studied biology. After being discovered on the street and completing a test shoot, her modeling agency sent her to Paris, where designer John Galliano helped launch her profile.

Ellingson made her runway debut during the Spring/Summer 2005 ready-to-wear shows. Over the course of her career, she has walked for numerous prominent fashion houses and brands, including Chanel, Christian Dior, John Galliano, Gucci, Valentino, Lacoste, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen, Diane Von Furstenberg, Sophie Theallet, Giorgio Armani, Shiatzy Chen, and Blumarine. She has also appeared in advertising campaigns for brands such as Moschino, DKNY, MAC, Dolce and Gabbana, Charles David, H&M, and Tommy Hilfiger.

In addition to her runway work, Ellingson has appeared internationally on the covers of publications such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, D Magazine, GQ, and L'Officiel. Her editorial work includes appearances in the pages of magazines such as Allure, Flair, V, and i-D. Beyond fashion brands, she has also collaborated with the French cosmetics company Clarins.

Ellingson began working with Victoria's Secret in 2007, walking in the brand's annual fashion show for seven consecutive years. During her time with the brand, she was selected as a spokeswoman for the "Body by Victoria" line alongside Alessandra Ambrosio, Marisa Miller, and Emanuela de Paula, and she was featured in the 2010 "SWIM" catalog. She was also listed as one of the brand's supermodels and was highlighted during the 2009 fashion show. In 2011, she became a Victoria's Secret Angel, a role she held until 2014, while also serving as the face of the VS Attractions perfume line and the Gorgeous bra.

In her personal life, Ellingson married Sean Clayton, a medical equipment salesman and former college football player, on July 12, 2014, in Bluffton, South Carolina, following a six-year relationship and their engagement in November 2013. The couple has three children: a son named Carter John, born on May 15, 2020; a son named Roen Allen, born on December 11, 2021; and a daughter named Ella Viive Marie Clayton, born on November 9, 2024.
