Born on August 2, 1988, in Suffolk, England, Hayward originally moved to London to pursue studies in photography. In 2011, she was scouted while dancing in an East London pub by fashion publication founder Richard Mortimer, who introduced her to photographer Miles Aldridge. She subsequently signed with Storm Management and made her professional modeling debut in high-profile publications including Vogue, Glamour, i-D, Schön!, Ponystep, and Numéro.
