Dar Salim is an Iraqi-born Danish actor. He gained widespread recognition for portraying Green Party chairman Amir Diwan in the Danish political television series Borgen. He is also recognized internationally for his co-starring role in Guy Ritchie's 2023 action film The Covenant.

Salim was born in Baghdad, Iraq, on August 18, 1977. At six years old, he arrived in Denmark as a refugee and subsequently grew up on the island of Amager.

To prepare for his career, Salim received acting instruction across multiple locations. He trained at the William Esper Studio in New York City, studied method acting in London, and took private lessons with Danish actress Sarah Boberg.

Salim made his acting debut when he was cast in the TV2 television drama Forsvar. His prominent role in Borgen later established significant visibility among Danish television audiences. Expanding his television work, he hosted TV2's program Good Evening Denmark in early 2013.

Over the course of his career, Salim appeared in several notable Nordic television productions. He starred in the crime series Dicte, securing a Robert Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance. He also secured recurring roles in the Danish thrillers The Bridge and Below the Surface, and co-starred in the Swedish series Spring Tide.

In international projects, Salim played Afghan interpreter Ahmed Abdullah opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the 2023 feature film The Covenant, directed by Guy Ritchie. The following year, Salim collaborated with Ritchie again by appearing in the series The Gentlemen.
