Coral Peña

Coral Peña is a Dominican-American actor who gained wide recognition for her portrayal of Aleida Rosales on the Apple TV drama series For All Mankind.

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Peña grew up in New York City, raised by a single mother in Harlem's public housing. She completed her primary and secondary education at St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's School in New York and the Peddie School in New Jersey. She subsequently pursued drama studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, undergoing conservatory instruction at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

Peña launched her screen career with an appearance in the feature film The Post, directed by Steven Spielberg. In 2016, she was cast alongside Corey Hawkins, Miranda Otto, and Jimmy Smits in the television reboot 24: Legacy.

In 2019, Peña secured a main cast role in the second season of For All Mankind as Aleida Rosales. Her performance in the fourth season earned strong reviews from critics, who described her as the standout actor of the season and noted her commanding screen presence.

Alongside her screen work, Peña has established a prominent theater career. Her stage credits include playing Ry in the off-Broadway production of BLKS at the MCC Theater, and portraying Kit in Our Dear Dead Drug Lord at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. She also starred as Ophelia in Robert O'Hara's staging of Hamlet at the Mark Taper Forum, alongside Patrick Ball and Gina Torres, receiving critical acclaim in the Los Angeles Times for her independent interpretation of the character.

Peña's television work on For All Mankind earned her a nomination for the Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2023. Beyond acting, she serves as the narrator for the American version of Antiques Roadshow.

Peña identifies as nonbinary and has resided in New York City for the majority of her life.
